MYANMAR VISA : Stamp or signature put on a Myanmar passport by the officials of the Myanmar Embassy or Consulate concern to show that it has been examined & approved by the officials of Myanmar which the owner of the passport intends to visit or leave. He will need a Myanmar visa for entry into Myanmar.

MYANMAR VISA ( ON ARRIVAL ) : It is not issued by the Embassy or Consulate concerned but by the Immigration Department of the country to which the tourist plan to visit. This Myanmar Visa ( issued on arrival is known as Myanmar VOA ) which is arranged prior to the visit by the agents of the tourist, submitting the Myanmar Visa ( VOA ) application form with necessary personal & passport data.

Kindly refer to the Myanmar Visa ( VOA ) application form & send all the personal & passport details required. Such as
( 1 ) full name
( 2 ) full address & contact details, phone, fax & email
( 3 ) nationality
( 4 ) gender
( 5 ) passport number
( 6 ) passport issue & expire date + passport issuing authority
( 7 ) Yangon arrival date,time, airline & flight number
( 8 ) Yangon departure date, time, airline & flight number
( 9 ) PNR ( passenger name registration ). This is issued by your airline after you had bought your air tickets.

We will then submit your Myanmar Visa application form to the authorities & process your Myanmar Visa ( VOA ) which will come out within 7-10 days after we put up the application. We will send your Myanmar Visa ( VOA ) to you by scan email jpeg format & also send copies to Myanmar Immigration at Yangon International Airport and also to the Yangon office of the airline that you will be flying into Myanmar. You should bring 3 copies of your official Myanmar Visa ( VOA ) with you when you start your journey & to show it if & when necessary.

( 15 ) Particulars of previous visit if any to Myanmar

You fill this form back home, bring 2 filled forms with you & submit to the Immigration Counter, Arrival Lounge of the Yangon International Airport together with $ 20 / pax for Myanmar Visa Entry fees, 3 passport size photos of you & your passport. Kindly read the entry visa on arrival form & please fill it taking the following points into consideration --
For 7 ( c ), 8 ( f ), 9, 10, 14 and 15 you should fill " NA ".
For number ( 11 ) it should be " sightseeing ".
For ( 4 ) and ( 12 ) you should give the address of our tour company -- Gold Backed Travels & Tours, Room 102 / Tower ( B ), # 212, Shwegondaing Road, Bahan P.O., Yangon, Myanmar.
For ( 13 ) it will be " duration of your tour " or " length of your tour ". Like, for example -- 7 day / 6 night Myanmar tour for instance from 1 - 7 April 2005. This is only an example.
For ( 16 ) you will have to fill " the date that you obtain your VOA issued by the Myanmar authorities " which we will inform you after your VOA is obtained.

KINDLY ( A ) FILL THE ENTRY VISA ON ARRIVAL FORM AS ADVISED ABOVE & PLEASE BRING IN THREE COPIES OF THAT FILLED FORM FOR EACH PERSON TOGETHER WITH ( B ) US $ 20 EACH FOR VISA ENTRY FEES + ( C ) THREE PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOS OF EACH OF YOU. THESE A, B & C SHOULD BE BROUGHT TOGETHER WITH YOU ON YOUR ARRIVAL TO YANGON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.

Do bring 2 filled copies of the above Myanmar Entry Visa Application Form with 3 passport size photos of you & visa entry fees US $ 20 / pax to be given to the Immigration room of the Yangon International Airport which is a 3 meter x 3 meter size room about 20 feet from the entrance to the arrival lounge of the airport. Myanmar Visa ( VOA ) processing fees $ 30 / pax should be given to our staff who will meet you at the airport arrival lounge with a white board your name written on it & he or she will swift clear you out quickly.

After passing the Immigration you get a two wheel push cart & wait for your luggage at the Custom's belting & as soon as your suitcases come out you can proceed to Custom check point & if you have nothing to declare just sign the " nothing to declare form " & come out but if you have something to declare you can do so by filling the form -- no harm done, no loss & you come out to the exit of the arrival lounge which is 30 feet from the Custom check point. There will be no body searches or frisking. Over & out.

Obtaining a Myanmar Visa ( VOA ) here is not like in other countries -- a bit hard & time consuming work you can say. Here in Myanmar you can't get instant or on the spot Myanmar Visa ( VOA ) at airports or border crossings. We have to apply before your arrival to the authorities concerned.
